| US interest rates | $97.00 | (closed) |
The Federal Reserve dropped US interest rates to 2% in April as it continues to try and avoid a US recession. It was the seventh rate cut since last September when it was 5.25%. With rates where they are and the continuing housing market downturn will the Fed continue to cut them or will the recent tax rebates kick in to boost consumer spending?
For the purposes of this market $1 = 1 Basis Point. 1 Basis Point = 0.1. A change of 1 would then be 100 basis points or $100.
