PS Do you mean human population on Earth or in the universe? It is not completely outside the realm of possibility that some humans will live on another planet within the next 90 years.
James Lovelock (of Gaia theory) predicts human population will collapse to around 1bn at the turn of next century, principally from environmental change and ensuing social collapse. Is he right? Personally i think its inevitable given our genetics.
